Today's Review: Oreo Split Pot Yoghurt

Oreo's a big thing over here nowadays. Oreo cheesecakes, Oreo milkshakes, as well as the many varieties of cookies lining the shelves. Now it seems they want to move into the yoghurt market, with this split pot, featuring a vanilla yoghurt with a helping of Oreo crumb. Simple idea, but it's a good one.

Let's start with the crumb, because we know that's good, and it is good. It's authentic Oreo chunks, and the flavour carries over well, a nice, bold, chocolatey taste that everyone can identify with. As for the yoghurt, well, it's vanilla yoghurt, there's not much more to it than that. I understand that the creme in an Oreo is vanilla flavoured, but in that case I was hoping for something that tastes more like the proper Oreo creme, instead of a generic vanilla flavour. It kind of sours the experience. I mean, it's not bad, but it doesn't lend to the Oreo taste, so we're just left with the cookie crumb holding this entire pot up. A pretty average offering, I was expecting something a bit more.

My rating: 3/5
