Today's Review: Capri-Sun Fruity Water

I feel poor old Capri-Sun are struggling a bit under this whole reduced sugar kick the whole world is going through right now. The original pouches are a classic, fit to adorn any lunchbox or picnic basket. But they've been banned from Tesco entirely, and replaced with a no added sugar version that is, quite frankly, awful. Now we have this, and I'm not sure exactly what they're going for with this. It's the same colour pouch as the full sugar version, but with bright colourful letters, spelling out "Fruity Water". Woo, fruity water! Water that is fruity!

Yeah, literally, this is water with a dribble of blackcurrant juice in it. 3% to be precise, and it sure does show. It tastes like water, with a little hint of flavour, and the flavour isn't nice. It's got that sugar free taste to it, and all in all it's just unpleasant. This drink may be attractively low in calories, but it's not worth it, believe me. I'd rather just drink water, and I'm not a fan of just water. Stop trying to get on this sugar free kick guys, it's not working out for you.

My rating: 1/5

  1. Dreadful drink. Can’t get anyone to drink it at home , tried to give away my two boxes , nobody wanted them.
