Today's Review: Tuc Sweet Chilli

Tuc biscuits are fantastic, we all know that, right? I've tried a few variations on the classic original over the years, mostly from supermarkets throughout Europe, but today I saw this sweet chilli variety in Asda. If you know me, you know I'm a spice fiend, so it's great to see chillies make its way into another food for my tasting pleasure. So, spicy Tuc, does it work?

Yes, yes it does. These are some damn good biscuits. They're the same lovely buttery Tuc at their core, but pretty soon after the first bite the heat begins. The original flavour is noticeable throughout, but the chilli is decent and fairly strong, just not overwhelmingly so. Definitely more of a sweet chilli than any other, it's a great twist on the classic biscuit, and one you should seek out if you're a spice fan. I can't fault them.

My rating: 5/5

  1. Superb! I love anything chilli. I'm frustrated so often - every time I 'hook on' to a new product with chilli zing to them the manufacturers/retailers withdraw them :( I loved Jacobs 'Savours' chilli thins then which flavour was discontinued - you've guessed. Frustratingly, they kept all the other variations. Its a similar story with crisps and chilli peanuts.... makes me so Grrrr! ;)
