Eat Natural ran a promotion a while back offering some free bars in a few interesting new flavours. I can't quite remember what all the flavours were, but I must have decided this was the most intriguing. It arrived in the post today, and I wasted no time in opening it up and giving it a go.
All the bars in the Eat Natural range contain a nice combination of fruit and nuts, but this one goes a step further. This small bar contains peanuts, popcorn, dark chocolate chunks and crispies, coconut, sultanas and cornflakes. Yeah, that's quite a lot, but it certainly makes for a lot of flavour. The amount of textures and tastes throughout is quite impressive, but I think there is perhaps a little too much going on. I often caught a hint of sultana, only to have it overwhelmed immediately by peanut or popcorn or something else. So while everything in this bar is pretty nice, it's just too busy for my liking. Next time I go for Eat Natural I'll probably go for something a bit simpler. This flavour is a good effort though.
My rating: 4/5
I am a little bit addicted to these at the moment, but at 85p a bar I think I'm going to try making my own. I was hunting for a recipe hack when I came across your blog!
ReplyDeleteI really liked this bar! I am not a fan of sultanas, do was quite glad that the overwhelming flavours hid the taste.
