There seem to be a few varieties of Breakaway hitting the shelves recently, from the Caramac to the chocolate twist. This one is a very interesting take on the bar, offering berries and yoghurt coupled with your regular Breakaway biscuit.
The biscuit itself is berry flavoured, which is a little off, but actually a good move. The berry taste is present throughout, and the biscuit is as crunchy and flavoursome as ever, it seems like the two wouldn't work together, but it's pretty good. The coating on the outside definitely has a yoghurt flavour, it's pretty creamy, and it works very well in conjunction with the berries, but there is a little too much of the coating for my liking, it overwhelms the stuff in the middle and leaves a predominantly yoghurt-like after taste. Still, this is a nice bar, much nicer than I was expecting, a good pay off from a bold change of formula.
