Today's Review: Müller Bliss Corner Cappuccino

I love Müller Bliss, the Greek style yoghurt is thick and creamy, and there's normally a nice fruity compote to swirl in to give it that extra kick. Raspberry and lemon are notable flavours as far as I'm concerned. But apparently I'd been missing out on a variety that was devoid of fruit, and instead offering coffee. This is the cappuccino Bliss. I don't know how long it's been out, it doesn't say it's new on the packet, but it's new to me, so I dug in with vigour.

One thing I will say is that the yoghurt isn't quite the same as with other flavours. It's less heavy, and more of a light, frothy texture. This was a little disappointing at first, seeing as I love the thickness of the other Bliss yoghurts, but once I had a couple of spoonfuls I realised that the frothiness added to the coffee effect. The coffee is provided in the form of a somewhat concentrated sauce, which is in itself quite strong, but when mixed in to the yoghurt provides a nice, light cappuccino flavour. The light milkiness of the yoghurt mixes in with it very well and gives a somewhat authentic coffee experience. It's not perfect, certainly, and I believe the texture of the yoghurt could have been thicker and given similar results. But as it is, this is a great coffee flavour yoghurt, and it's pretty light on calories too.

My rating: 4/5

  1. Why on earth would anyone buy Muller Bliss lemon with all it's additives and it's slightly odd texture when, for a fraction of the cost you can buy a pot of plain Greek yoghurt, a jar of lemon curd and make your own delicious, creamy lemon yoghurt?
I certainly won't be buying it again.
