Today's Review: Cornetto Negriton

You can't have fun in the sun without an ice cream, and I certainly expected fun when I picked up this interesting variety of Cornetto. Not only is it wrapped up in a nice chocolate shell, there are also some crunchy pieces scattered throughout. While there have been some mighty interesting Cornetto varieties cropping up over the years, this seemed like a nice little twist on the original that was worth snapping up.

The chocolate shell surrounding the ice cream on top is satisfyingly thick, and very nice indeed. The ice cream underneath is your classic creamy Cornetto offering, hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The difference comes in the crunchy bits inside. Some are chocolatey, some are caramel, and altogether they add a satisfying bit of texture and flavour, a nice sweet hint of caramel that doesn't overwhelm the other elements. Perhaps the best part of this Cornetto is that the chunk of chocolate at the bottom of the cone is absolutely massive, making a fantastic end to a tasty ice cream. Cornetto Negriton is like a regular Cornetto, but so much better. Tasty stuff.

My rating: 5/5

  1. This seems to be exactly the same as the Daim-cone sold in other countries, so why have they removed the Daim-brand in Spain????
