Today's Review: Cream & Onion Tuc

Last year I picked up a pack of bacon Tuc on holiday, so I was pleasantly surprised to find another flavour this year. Yes, cream and onion Tuc, which I assume is actually meant to be sour cream and onion. I'm not normally a fan of onion-ified snacks, but this is Tuc, and I love Tuc, so I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Unlike the bacon Tuc, which was quite conservative with its flavouring, these ones are absolutely packed with flavour. As soon as a biscuit hit my tongue my tastebuds were flooded with a distinct sour cream and onion taste. Sure, it's not a particularly good quality flavour, but it's pretty clear that's what it's supposed to be. To be honest, I'm not a fan, but seeing as I don't really like the flavour to begin with, I must say it's not too bad if that's what you're into. The main problem is that the flavouring is so overwhelming, it detracts from the texture and flavour of the actual biscuit, opting to fill your mouth with creamy onion. I'm a man who likes a lot of flavouring, but this is too much even for me. I can't eat more than a few at a time without having to give up. If these sound up your street, by all means seek them out, but there are much better Tuc varieties out there.

My rating: 2/5
