Bugle have made a triumphant return to the UK recently. Well, I say trumphant, but I'm not a huge fan, they taste too much like corn and not enough like the flavours they're meant to be. So having passed up the UK versions for a while, I couldn't resist when I saw this bag of Lay's in Poundland, an import that boasts a sweet chilli flavour. I'm a bit of a chilli fiend, so I was hoping these wouldn't disappoint me. Unfortunately they did. The heat is almost non-existent, they're pretty much just crunchy corn husks with a drab drizzle of flavouring. So I guess Bugles are universally disappointing. Give me some chips that burn through my tongue any day, these are just bad.
